Maneuverability: The site offers wide, level access specifically designed to accommodate "Big Rigs," large caravans, and motorhomes.
Camping Amenities: * Sites: Offers many powered sites for campers (bookings are essential).
Utilities: Includes access to public toilets, hot showers, and rubbish bins.
Pet-Friendly: Dogs are permitted but must remain on a lead at all times.
Mobile Coverage: Excellent Telstra and general mobile phone reception, along with good TV signal.
The dump point is located within the expansive Geelong Showgrounds complex, situated approximately 3.5km south-east of the Geelong CBD.
Main Access: From the Princes Highway (A1), follow the signs toward East Geelong/Breakwater via Boundary Road or St Albans Road.
Entrance: Turn into Breakwater Road. The main vehicle access is through Gate 1 or Gate 2.
Check-In: The administration office and caretaker’s house are located beside Main Gate 2. It is recommended to contact the office (03 5221 1707) between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM (Mon-Fri) to confirm access and payment if you are a non-guest.
On-Site: Follow the internal directional signs toward the camping "Lanes." The dump point is positioned near the main amenities block and the camping lanes for easy drive-through access.
Note: As bookings are essential for camping, ensure you have arranged your stay or casual dump point use in advance to ensure the gates are accessible.
