Dump Point: This is a free public dump point. It is a "Dump Ezy" style facility located within the reservoir's main recreation precinct.
Potable Water: Drinking water is available. There is a potable water tap located near the dump point and under the handbasin in the men's toilet block for filling containers.
Vehicle Access: Excellent. The site features a spacious car park with room for large RVs and big rigs to maneuver and park.
Amenities: Public toilets (male and female) are located immediately beside the main car park and dump point.
Picnic & BBQ: Three distinct picnic areas are available. One features an electric BBQ (20c coin operated), while others offer wood-fire BBQs.
Recreation: The reservoir is used for swimming, fishing, and boating. It features a scenic, pram-friendly 1.7km walking track that circles the water.
Pet Friendly: Dogs are permitted on a lead.
Overnight Camping: Strictly no overnight camping or overnight parking is permitted at the reservoir itself.
The reservoir is located on the southern edge of the Maryborough township, acting as a gateway for travelers arriving from Ballarat.
From Maryborough Town Center: Head south on Derby Road (C287), which is the main road toward Ballarat.
Continue: Drive past the residential area for approximately 2 kilometers.
Arrival: The entrance to the Goldfields Reservoir is on your right-hand side.
Locating the Dump Point: Once you turn into the main entrance, the Free Public Dump Point is located in the main car park area, clearly signed and positioned near the toilet block.
