Dump Point: This is a free public dump point. While situated within the Rochester Riverside Holiday Park (which is part of the larger Recreation Reserve), it is a council-provided facility available for public use.
Vehicle Access: Excellent. The entrance via Church Street/Reserve Street is wide and sealed, leading into a spacious area designed for large caravans, motorhomes, and big rigs to maneuver safely.
Potable Water: Drinking water is available on-site at a dedicated hydration station and at the dump point for tank refills and rinsing.
Amenities: Public toilets are available within the recreation reserve precinct.
Pet Friendly: Pets are welcome on a lead; the reserve offers expansive parklands along the Campaspe River for exercise.
Proximity: Conveniently located just off the Northern Highway, within walking distance to the Rochester town center, local shops, and the famous Rochester Silo Art.
The dump point is located on the eastern side of the Campaspe River, within the main community recreation hub.
From the Northern Highway (B75): In the center of Rochester, turn east onto Mary Street or High Street.
Turn into Church Street: Follow the signs toward the Riverside Holiday Park/Recreation Reserve.
Arrival: The main entrance is at 1 Church Street.
Locating the Dump Point: Once inside the gates, follow the internal signage toward the amenities block. The Free Public Dump Point is positioned for easy drive-up access, typically located near the visitor parking or main amenities.
Note for travelers: Rochester also offers a 48-hour free RV park located on the corner of the Northern Highway and Campaspe Street (opposite the swimming pool) for fully self-contained vehicles, though that specific site does not have its own dump point.
