Jerusalem Creek Campground 4 offers a serene and picturesque bush camping experience on the southern shores of the expansive Lake Eildon. This free, seasonal campsite is one of eight separate camping areas within the Jerusalem Block of Lake Eildon National Park, providing a perfect base for those who enjoy a rustic, back-to-basics outdoor adventure. Surrounded by tall eucalypt trees, the site provides a tranquil and shaded setting, with easy access to the water for swimming, kayaking, or launching a boat from the nearby ramp. It’s a fantastic location for anglers, with Lake Eildon being home to a variety of fish including Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and the occasional Murray Cod.

The campground is a gateway to a number of scenic walks and lookouts, including the climb to The Pinnacle for impressive views over the lake and the Victorian Alps. For those who prefer to explore on wheels, the area is also popular for four-wheel driving. One of the key benefits of this site is its pet-friendly policy, allowing you to bring your dog along for the adventure, provided they are kept on a lead. While the site is more basic than some of the paid campgrounds in the national park, it provides essential amenities such as pit toilets and fire pits, allowing for a comfortable stay. Visitors must bring their own drinking water and firewood, as collection is prohibited to protect the natural environment. The remote feel of the campground, combined with the convenience of being just a short drive from the Eildon township, makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing and memorable trip.
