Lake Waranga Caravan Park: Your Goulburn Valley Waterside Hub

Welcome to Lake Waranga Caravan Park and Holiday Camp, the ultimate destination for water lovers and explorers in the heart of the Goulburn Valley. Situated on the shores of the massive Waranga Basin, our park is a playground for fishing, boating, water-skiing, and simply relaxing by the water’s edge. This vast expanse of water, a critical part of the region’s irrigation system, provides a stunning backdrop for a classic Australian holiday. Whether you’re here to land a trophy fish, enjoy thrilling water sports with the family, or explore the rich gold rush history of nearby Rushworth, our park offers a friendly and feature-packed base for your adventures.

Our park caters to a wide range of visitors, from solo travellers to large school and community groups. We offer a variety of accommodation options, including spacious powered and unpowered sites with plenty of room for caravans and big rigs. For groups or those seeking extra comfort, our holiday camp facilities provide bunk-style accommodation and communal areas. The park is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including amenities blocks, a camp kitchen, barbecue areas, and plenty of open space for games like cricket and footy. The direct access to the lake via multiple boat ramps makes getting on the water a breeze.

The main attraction is undoubtedly the lake itself, a renowned fishery for Redfin, Golden Perch (Yellowbelly), and Murray Cod. Spend your days exploring the coves and submerged timber, trolling for trout, or trying your luck at catching some yabbies. Beyond the water, the historic town of Rushworth is just minutes away, offering a glimpse into the gold rush era with its well-preserved streetscape. You can also explore the nearby Whroo Historic Area and Balaclava Mine, or take a ride along the Waranga Rail Trail. After a full day of activity, return to the park, light a campfire (subject to restrictions), and enjoy the spectacular sunset over the water.
