Licola Caravan Park: Your Gateway to the Victorian High Country

★★★★☆

Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Macalister River, Licola Caravan Park is the ultimate destination for adventurers, families, and anyone seeking a tranquil escape into nature. As the last town before the vast expanse of the Alpine National Park, our park serves as the perfect base camp for exploring the rugged beauty and endless outdoor activities of the Victorian High Country. Being situated in the only privately-owned town in Victoria, Licola offers a unique and serene experience, free from the usual hustle and bustle.

Our park provides a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with spacious, well-maintained sites catering to all types of travellers. Whether you’re rolling in with a large caravan, setting up a camper trailer, or pitching a classic tent, you’ll find a comfortable spot to call home. We offer a range of both powered and unpowered sites, many with picturesque river views, allowing you to wake up to the soothing sounds of flowing water. For those seeking a little more comfort, our basic cabins and bunkhouses provide a cosy shelter after a day of exploration.

The location is the true star. From here, you can launch your next 4WD adventure, cast a line for trout in the pristine river, or embark on one of the many scenic bushwalks that crisscross the region. The area is rich with history, from old cattlemen’s huts to historic trails waiting to be discovered. In the evenings, gather around a crackling campfire (permitted in designated pits, subject to fire restrictions), share stories under a brilliant canopy of stars, and truly disconnect from the stresses of city life. With essential supplies available on-site and a friendly team ready to welcome you, Licola Caravan Park is more than just a place to stay—it’s the start of your High Country adventure.
